OK, i do admit- this version has amazing scenery which is probably as close as we can get to the time period. But as for the acting. it was HORRIBLE. The only person that every played Elizabeth well was Jennifer Ehle. And the best Darcy is HANDS DOWN Colin Firth. The complexity between Elizabeth's and Darcy's relationship is lost in this version. I also hate that the cut so much from the storyline and the ending was terrible. It definitely took away from the story.
All in all, the BBC version kept true to Austen's story. The actors were Impeccable, and definitely fit their characters to the T. Just because Keira Knightly is pretty, does not mean that she can play the role. And as for the actor who played Darcy. boring. He had no life whatsoever. Watching him was like watching a blank wall.
